Robert Fead Mosely is renown for being the first company to manufacture and market cutlery made from Stainless Steel. However, he was also a maker of silver and other metals such as the copper shield shaped plaque below.

A silver two-handle tray by Robert Fead Mosley & Co, Sheffield 1919 Oval shaped form with a pierced scrolling gallery and acanthus scroll rim, the border with integral handles, centred with engraved acanthus scrolling decoration embellished with husks, on bun feet, length 64cm, weight 92oz.

(fl. 1864-1935), in the neoclassical taste, reticulated navette pedestal form, with outscrolled ends and beaded wavy rim, the body with embossed floral swags, raised on an oval gadrooned pedestal base, fitted with conforming cobalt glass liners. h. 2-1/8″, l. 4-7/8″, w. 2-1/2″; 4.48 total t. oz.
