Daniel Egan was a Dublin silversmith registered around 1800. Many of his silverware consisted of silver sugar baskets and other items such as tea services.
A George III Irish silver swing-handle sugar basket, with two marks, that of Daniel Egan and Clark & West, Dublin 1807, oval form, with prick-dot engraved Greek key band, monogrammed and initialled reserves, prick-dot engraved fluted lower body, raised on an oval foot with similar engraved bands, length 16cm, weight 8.5oz.
