Charles Boyton registered his first hallmark in 1825 with further marks registered in the 1830’s.
In 1849 the firm moved to Northampton Square and the name was changed to Charles Boyton & Son under Charles Boyton II. After his death in 1899 the firm continued on under Charles Holman Boyton who died in 1904. The firm converted to a limited company in 1919 as Charles Boyton & Son Ltd.
