C J Vander Ltd silver makers marks have been found on both London and Sheffield silver. C J Vander (Cornelius Joshua Vander) bought the firm from Martin Goldstein in 1886. He entered his first mark on 18th October 1886. It was not until around 1930 that C J Vander became a limited company.
